Sakiko and R.J.'s Class Notes
We couldn’t be more proud of the children for such an excellent job with our class group text and with their individual scenes. Thank you to families for helping your child with lines and getting them to the performances. These performances are a collaboration between the school and families and we are grateful for your support.
Since the Thanksgiving break we have been deeply immersed in the world of Shakespeare. The students found great joy with the Shakespeare warm-ups, games and the opportunity to perform.
In the classroom we had a special visitor, Rafael, older brother to Lorenzo, whom we had the great privilege of interviewing. Look out for a news article on Rafael in our upcoming January news paper, The Kid’s Observer. We recently finished reading The Witches, by Roald Dahl, and it will be the feature film for our holiday party celebration.
As we continue with journal writing, we will be sending home their travel journals and hope the students will feel inspired to write over the holiday break. We’ve had such a wonderful time with the children this first part of the year, and we are excited for the rest of the year to come. We wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season and new year.
See you in 2026!
