Liz and Mbachi's Class

The kids enjoyed the Budding Author's program at Bridgehampton Library on Monday. Author and illustrator, Michael Praskevas shared stories about his development as an illustrator and writer that were interesting and hilarious. We asked the kids to read through their work and to select a favorite sentence from their submissions - here they are: "It was an electric night," Charlie Troy; "Once upon a time there were lots of superhero girls," Pearse Butler; "Lilly and I watched as the orphanage disappeared into the fog like it was being eaten up." Mackenzie Langendal; “Oh well, you can't win’m all,” Owen Wood; “He couldn't move - he was stuck.” Dash Breen; “Dear Reader, I am going to tell you a story about a girl named Blue who loved to dance." Arabella Troy; “She was weeping with tears.” Bianca Spielberg; “Ramona, we are going to wash your hair.” Agnes Didriksen; “Mrs. Nave said, her long bleached blonde hair almost touching her shoulders..." Rive Weiner; "The unicorns and rainbows saved the others.” Gigi Butler; “His eyes lit up with excitement." Leonardo Dougherty; “So some people were gonna solve the case.” Amaro Padilla; “Do you want to ride a BMX.” Nolan Eckey; “Marvel is the best movie series ever.” Julian Shapiro; “One Monday | dropped the game's winning pass in the football championship.” Travis Deuel; “To his dismay what he saw moving was a spider as big as a table.” Neelu DeRose; “The golden sun rose above the woods as the shining moon set.” Atlas Geirsson; “My family just won a whopping billion dollars." Phoenix Bliss.
