Tohanash and Javis’s Class Notes
March has been a green month, with Saint Patrick's Day taking over our mornings, working with egg cartons and paper towel rolls the students have been busy creating crafty ways to trap those tricky leprechauns. We have continued our storytelling focus with Irish folktales and stories books such as Tim O’Toole and the Wee Folk by Gerald McDermott. With spring on the fringes of breaking through we have been enjoying lots of outside activities.
We are continuing on specials such as Spanish class with Maria, which brings in new songs and words to learn. Studio with Perry allows us to expand on our mask making, and in the garden we are continuing to keep our chickens happy and healthy, while keeping busy in the greenhouse seeing what seeds have flourished through our harsh winter. Ryan’s oldest students came in last week to present their marine animal projects to our class and it turned out to be a big hit. A huge thank you goes out to music Mike for his help and support during our beautiful performance at soul food night. And thanks to all parents who shared their delicious dishes and for sticking it out for the program, feast, and dinner.
