Lucy’s Class Notes

Over the past month, our class has been hard at work preparing for the grand opening of the Hayground Museum's second season, happening this Tuesday, May 6, 2025. This year, students took an entirely new and creative approach to museum curation, inspired by the interactive learning style of CMEE. Instead of a traditional exhibit format, students have designed a playful and educational experience that reflects the heart of Hayground—who we are, what we do, and why it matters. Through thoughtful collaboration and hands-on creation, students have transformed their ideas into engaging, interactive installations that showcase Hayground’s values in imaginative ways.

Each exhibit was intentionally designed to invite curiosity and connection. From the Mixed-Age Micro Golf course, which teaches visitors about our unique classroom structure, to Baby Face Bowling, where community testimonials bring Hayground’s impact to life, students have demonstrated creativity and care in their work. Other highlights include the Shakespeare Punching Bag, Kindness at Hayground Stop-Motion film, and personalized Rubik’s Cubes—each one telling a different story about our learning community. The class is incredibly proud of their accomplishments and can’t wait to share them with everyone. If you're unable to join us for opening day, we welcome you to schedule a visit—our museum will be open for the remainder of the school year! — May 3, 2025
