JULIE and MBACHI'S CLASS NOTES

Happy Spring! The sun is shining and hopefully the warm temperatures are soon to follow.

We spent last week working on a leprechaun challenge in small groups. Each group made a leprechaun scene out of recycled materials. They worked together to plan, design, and construct their scene, as well as the story that went along with it.

We are eager to finish revising our creative stories to submit to the Budding Authors celebration at the Hampton Library. Once the students’ stories are finished we will begin working on this year’s invention and design challenge; to invent something that addresses a social problem or that can bring social awareness.

The student are very excited to sing for everyone at this year’s Soul Food Night. We can not wait to celebrate with our larger Hayground community by eating delicious food and dancing!
