Erin and Kevin's Class Notes

Everything Chocolate! Can Tabs! Beautiful Buildings! What haven't we been up to?! Our class has been steadily working together to create buildings to house our copious collections of small animals, fairies, knights, and mythical figures. We have been using wooden blocks and Magna-Tiles to achieve architectural excellence.

Alice Hope, an artist, has visited our class twice to teach us about the Can Tab Project. We learned the word eon, and how each can tab symbolizes one day. We learned to string the can tabs onto wires. Some of us added over 100 days to each wire!

You may also remember our Above and Beyond Jar. Whenever we do something especially helpful, beyond our usual chores, or extra generous acts of kindness, we add a rock to the jar. As the level rises, we achieve class celebrations. So far this year we have had Tea Party day, Pajama Day, Pretzel Day, and today was Everything Chocolate Day. Scott and Arjun melted chocolate and provided us with strawberries, banana slices, potato chips and pretzels. We dipped the items into the chocolate and refrigerated it. Later, the chocolate became solid, and voila! Everything Chocolate!
