Lucy’s Class Notes
We are still reflecting on the wonderful memories from Soul Food Night! The students did a fantastic job facilitating games, performing, and showcasing their artistic work, honoring influential Black Olympians and singers. It was a meaningful celebration of Black excellence, allowing them to share their creativity with the community.
This month, we have shifted our focus toward publishing our books for Budding Authors. The students are exploring a wide range of genres—from adventure and mystery to informational writing and beyond. In addition to deepening their understanding of literature, students are also discovering the joy of expressing their own thoughts, personalities, and authentic ideas through writing. Each student is creating a book that reflects their imagination and voice—something they can keep and look back on for years to come.
We’re excited to update you on our immersive museum-curating project! In addition to the galaxy world we created for fall, we’ll soon build a glowing winter world filled with light and enchantment during dark cold months, a magical spring fairytale realm, and a summer world inspired by food. Imagine a house made of a cheeseburger—creativity knows no bounds in this realm! We’re excited to bring these realms to life in our classroom and look forward to welcoming visitors to experience them with us soon.
