TOHANASH and LORA'S CLASS NOTES

We'll begin our final Class Notes where we left off. Our class caterpillars made their transformation right before our eyes. We released seven painted butterflies into the wilds of Hayground. One butterfly decided to stick around after the release allowing us to observe it up close.

We have been spending much of our day outdoors. The hose and sandbox continue to be a favorite spot to play on warm days. Arjun and a number of older students restored the outdoor set of BIG BLOCKS which we now visit frequently.

The first (hopefully annual) Spring Festival was such a success! Our class hosted a shaving cream and colored sprinkles table while we enjoyed Liz's BIG bubbles, wood oven pizza by Matt, Scott, Phoebe and Arjun among many other fun activities. In between the activities, there was the bench dedication for Elizabeth Thunderbird Haile (Tohanash's Grandma) which brought back many good memories of Hayground's beginnings and shared them with newer Hayground families.

This year our favorite authors have been Mo Willems, Leo Lionni, and Eric Carle. Favorite books have been "The Bad Seed" by Jorv John and "We are Water Protectors" by Carole Lindstorm. Both books led to deep conversations which the children had many opinions to share.

We would like to thank all our families for making this an amazing year for your children. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with each and everyone of you. We sincerely hope to see you all at beach day and graduation (End of Year Celebration).
