LUCY'S CLASS NOTES

We started 2023 with tremendous ambition and excitement! Our mystery study is keeping us busy because we must solve a missing invaluable painting, investigate pentomino puzzles, decode secret letters, and learn about incredible art history! We have analyzed illustrations and suspects and solved mini-mysteries within the significant mystery. Over the next few weeks, we will continue to solve the mystery and begin to form our mystery.

In honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, we explored who he was and his great quotes from him. We helped him live on by interpreting the words through movement. We recognized the Lunar New Year by learning the significance of the holiday and the Lion Dance. We made Chinese Lion puppets and performed for the school while the students picked up their Lunar New Year-inspired lunch. We will soon begin to focus on cultural dances as we enter the second half of the school year.

We are focusing on local cultures by analyzing Hayground's Daily Goals. We believe it is crucial to understand the daily goals to capture the school culture. Over the next few weeks, we will build a large collage representing eleven daily goals and planning ways to fulfill the culture. The collage will incorporate photos, illustrations, and more!
